Highly Fluctuating Rhinoplasty Swelling Post Op. Is This Normal?

I had a revision surgery about 2 months ago using a closed technique. I still have quite a bit of swelling as you could imagine. However, my swelling fluctuates dramatically. In the mornings my nose looks completely different (Worse) than at night time. Sometimes however, the swelling increases for no apparent reason. When will this change of swelling start to subside?

  This is not unusual.

After revision rhinoplasty operations, the swelling may take at least 18 months to subside.

Cyclic swelling is not uncommon, especially in revisions with thick skin. This generally subsides and resolves with time, but occasionally cortisone injections can help. Follow up with your surgeon and express your concerns.
