Tiny colorless bumps on sides of face and forehead. What is this? (photo)

Question

I have these tiny bumps on the sides of my face and my forehead and they have been here for months now- They don't hurt like acne pimples do and are very small. I use obagi gentle cleaner and even tried a scrub/ retina/ and Tazorac..etc. These bumps look terrible when I put makeup on, it makes them more noticeable but I don't feel comfortable not wearing makeup.

Thank you for your question and photograph. It's difficult to evaluate your skin through a photograph, but from what I can see, it looks like you have comedonal acne (whiteheads and/or blackheads). In my experience, effective treatments for comedones are those aimed at exfoliating the skin, which brings the comedones to the surface for removal. A variety of treatments include topical retinoids (such as Retin-A, Tazorac, Differin, etc.), chemical peels, extractions, facials, etc. I highly recommend you consult with a board certified dermatologist to have your skin evaluated and to discuss treatment options that best suit your needs.
