Clearchoice follows the all-on-4 method, which is a great method for placing a full set of dental implants. At New Teeth Now, however, we do things a bit differently. I'll explain the difference. We use the all-on-4 technique as well, but place about 6 on the upper and 4 on the lower for more stability. At our facility, we place zygomatic implants, for patients with bone loss. We place Zirconia final teeth, which are a very strong, translucent material that looks extremely similar to natural teeth. We only surgery under general anesthesia, which is a safer and more effective choice than IV sedation. Our facility is under one roof - our dental lab, surgeons, and restorative doctors work together daily in one office. The teeth shape, size and color are also extremely customizable. Additionally, Clearchoice tends to be on the more expensive side for treatment, so be aware of that. As for your last question - it is appropriate! You should be able to have healthy, functional, beautiful teeth at any age. There will be medical clearance needed, but at our facility we see patients in their 80s on a regular basis.

It definitely looks like the area is infected. Bone loss is not a good sign. Most likely the implant will have to be removed and the area cleaned. It is ideal to have a 3D scan taken to have a more accurate diagnosis of bone loss. Then have the bone graft placed again and let the area heal...
