6 days post septoplasty...Coffee?

Question

I am 6 days post-op for septoplasty. Can I drink coffee today? If not, when can I start to drink coffee again? Wondering about this because I have a load of work to complete and I have completely strayed away from all caffeine, but it is much harder for me to get my work done without a little caffeine.

Hello - thanks for your question.  I do not see a problem with moderate coffee consumption 6 days following your nasal surgery.  Just beware not to drink any beverages which are too hot, and be careful not to "reflux" the beverage up into your nose.  This could potentially alter optimal healing following nasal surgery.  I hope this helps.
