Hair loss Isotretinoin (accutane, Claravis, etc)

A proportion of users of isotretinoin develop hair shedding. We call this "telogen effluvium."

Hair shedding starts 3-6 months after starting the drug and hair shedding usually stops when the drug is stopped but can take a number of months to stop completely.

In many people the hair density returns back to the original density - but not in all.
