I just had lasik done 13 days ago and started seeing floaters in my left eye about 5 days post op. I called my surgeon and he said these are normal. From what I understand they do not go away. Is this true and will my brain be able to train itself to not see them. I am frustrated right now and would much rather live with contacts/glasses then seeing things like this.

Typically dry eyes after LASIK is worse right after LASIK and improves over 12 months. It is possible that you were overcorrected and are now far sighted. It is worthwhile getting a second opinion with a cycloplegic refraction.
From what you have reported, I don't see anything of concern. Having a small fiber particle under the flap that needs to irrigated out is not uncommon. A good surgeon will notice it and get rid of it before it causes you problems later. If this is done right after lasik is...
