What are the advantages of bar-retained dentures vs. ball-retained dentures?

Question

I understand both bar-retained dentures and ball-retained dentures are effective solutions but what are the pros and cons of each? In other words, given a choice, what information does a patient need to make a choice? Thank you.

Generally speaking Bar retained is more favorable since it occupies a longer retention, but the problem is that the male attachment in the denture can get worn out, but by placing 2 or 3 attachments, depending on the length of the attachments, they hold better. The ball retained are retentive enough also. It all depends on the abutments supporting the attachments. Today Implants do a much better job in holding the dentures in place.

both are almost same but bar retained denture gives little more retention thn ball retained. now a days both are out dated just because it is not fixed denture.best option is fixed implant denture.  cost is almost same .
