I had my PRK procedure done exactly one year ago. Every so often they get EXTREMELY dry overnight. On several occasions I've shot out of bed because I get a sudden burning/scraping feeling behind one eye or both. It's then hard to open my eyes, they start to water, eventually I can open them, then sometimes it hurts to close them. Using eye drops often stings and makes it worse. At one point I woke up with extremely painful dry eyes, and there was a small bruise on my eyelid the next morning.
