What is the Recommended Time Between Fraxel Restore Treatments?

Depending on what you are trying to treat with the Fraxel Restore, many patients have significant results from just one treatment. However, if you do need more than one treatment, you should probably wait 1-3 months in between each treatment. See an experience laser dermatologist to get a better idea of what your skin needs.

There is no standard for the time to wait between Fraxel treatments.  I recommend that you wait somewhere between 4-6 weeks after each treatment.  The amount of time, and number of treatments, before you notice the results varies (age, skin, severity), but you should still be seeing increased results up to 4 months post-Fraxel treatment.  Most people need anywhere from 2-5 Fraxel treatments, depending on the severity of the area being treated. 

 

 

Fraxel Dual Re:Store has two lasers: one is a 1927 nm wavelength, which works best on brown spots and photodamaged skin.  The other is a 1550 nm wavelength, which works best on scars and wrinkles.  Usually treatments are spaced about a month apart.  the number of treatments performed depends on what condition is being treated.  Fraxel uses a fractionated technology, resulting in less downtime and risk of side effects.
