Perspiration and nose cartilage grafts. Any suggestions?

Hello, I'd like to know if sweat/perspiration due to sport activities could have an effets onto nose cartilage grafts, more particularly shield graft(made of septal cartilage)and dorsal onlay graft(made of rib cartilage), like provoked absorption or else? Thanks

Perspiration and nose cartilage grafts. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your question, sweating should not impact grafts if you have healed then this will not be affected in any way.

Rhinoplasty and activity

Once activity is permitted by your surgeon, perspiring should not impact grafts. What activity will do is likely increase swelling until the nose is completely healed.

Effect of Sweating on Cartilage Grafts

This is an interesting question. Although I am not aware of any studies, perspiration should have no negative (or positive) impact on the longevity or position of nasal cartilage grafts.
