I do not know the answer because we cant say clearly that vitamin D may cause hair loss. you would better to take supplements fot vit D but I think causative factors for hair loss may be other than vit D depletion and better to have an examination of hair loss expert .

To date, there is no good evidence in the medical literature to support the notion that low serum vitamin D causes hair loss in most people.
