Has anyone heard of a brand new "safe" implant called Ideal?

I was wondering if any doctors in the area are using or have heard of a new safer implant called ideal, is it an option?

Ideal Implant

The Ideal implant is a structured saline implant that has multiple "baffles" inside to provide a more silicone-like feel.  They are an excellent option for women who don't want to get MRI studies of their silicone gel implants down the line as any rupture of a structured saline implant would be detectable by simply looking in the mirror.  That said, I think it is a mistake to call them "safer" as much research has gone into proving the safety of all of the FDA approved implants- both saline and silicone gel.

Look for a plastic surgeon in your area that offers many different kinds and styles of implants who can recommend a breast implant that will be best for you.

Ideal Implant

The Ideal Implant is a new Structured Implant filled with saline. There are multiple compartments which control the flow of the saline and make the implant feel like gel implants. Check out their website.

Ideal Implant

Thank you for your question. The Ideal Implant is a nice choice for patients who want the feel of a silicone implant but the safety of a saline implant. This implant has two chambers and several silicone shells. This means that the implant feels more like breast tissue than a traditional saline implant, but in case of rupture, is safe as it's filled with saline which the body absorbs. Only a few plastic surgeons are currently using this implant.

Has anyone heard of a brand new 'safe" implant called Ideal?

Thank you for your question.  The Ideal structured breast implant was approved by the FDA last year after several years of clinical trials.  It is an option for women who desire the look and feel of a silicone gel implant  but without the concern of an undetected silicone leak, since the internal chambers are filled with saline.  At this time only a select number plastic surgeons across the country have been trained and approved to use the implants.  You should be able to find someone in your area on the Ideal Implant website under physician locator.

Thank you for your question.   The Ideal Implant is the latest FDA approved breast implant available.  It's a saline implant with a unique design that feels more natural than traditional saline implants.  It's available through a select network of board certified plastic surgeons across the country.  More information is available at their website.
