I had #19 removed and an implant installed about 1 year ago. I did not have the crown yet. My healing cap came out. I recovered it and took to dentist office. An assistant screwed it back in yesterday morning.

In most situations, you should be able to eat or chew anything you want after your implant restorations. If the implant crown is cemented, wait 24 hours for the cement to fully set before chewing gum.

What you have pictured in your hand is the healing screw covering the implant. Your implant is still in your mouth. Have the screw placed back and tightened by your dentist as soon as you can to prevent debris from going inside the implant and gum tissue growing over...
