Blood shot eyes four days after lateral brow lift? (photo)

I have blood shot red itchy eyes four days after my lateral brow lift. On the information sheet the doctor gave me it says this can be a sign of bleeding or infection, but I assume most patients get blood shot itchy eyes? Or should I call my doctor? Also should I wash my eyes with eyedrops or some anti bacterial solution? Thanks

Eye lubricants

It's not unusual to have dry eye symptoms while recovering from a brow lift.  The combination of the raised eyebrows and the swelling causes incomplete blinking or even incomplete eyelid closure.  From your photo, it does not look like you have abnormal bleeding or an infection (but an examination from your doctor would be needed to be sure).  Lubricating eyedrops or artificial tears will probably give relief.

Blood shot eyes 4 days after lateral brow lift

It is possible to develop blood shot eyes after a lateral brow lift and this should go away completely over time. It does not appear that you have an infection or any active bleeding.  You could use an eye drop called Artificial Tears to help lubricate your eyes, but you might try contacting your surgeon's office to let them know your issue and see if they have a different recommendation.
