Will I be "toothless" at any point during my dental implant journey e.g. not allowed to wear dental flipper or Essix? (Photo)

Next week I'll be getting my upper front left tooth #9 extracted. Same crown for over 20 yrs due to a bike accident when I was a kid. Had root canal yrs ago then about 5 yrs ago had apical surgery and recently my crowned loosened. My dental surgery will be in 2 phases: 1- extraction of tooth w/ bone grafting, wear a flipper, wait 4-5 months for healing. 2-Dental Implant Metal Post surgery, a few more months of healing before given the green light to get final crown. Will I be "toothless"?
