Acne scars can be treated with fillers, but the type of scar determines if this will be successful. Generally, soft scars which can be stretched out manually respond best. Collagen fillers are best for superficial scars, and hyaluronic fillers for deep scars.

If you have broad-based acne scars, you will likely benefit from Injectable Filler treatments. These are performed painlessly with topical anesthetic, and there is no downtime.

Acne scars can be difficult to treat. Fillers may offer some relief by raising the depressed scars. Sometimes lasers can help as well. Subcision may help too.
