Is fat transfer a good option for filling out small deficiencies on the nose? (photo)

I edited a photo on the right of the photo, upper part of the nose is lacking volume, you can see the countour of the nose bone which isn't visable on the other side. This deficiency gives the illusion of a crooked nose from the front. I don't like fillers as it spreads with time and add up

Fat grafting on the nose is highly inappropriate.

Fillers are far more precise, predictable and forgiving.

If you don’t like the results then maybe you’ve been in the hands of the wrong provider.

For detail volume correction on the face especially on the nose fillers are by far the way to go and the gold standard.

In comparison fat is crude, imprecise, unpredictable and has a high likelihood of leaving undesirable results.

In order for grafted fat to survive to has to be an abundance of host tissue to support the graft.

That area has almost no host tissue so fat will survive unevenly.

The fat that doesn’t survive can leave hard nodules of neckratic scar tissue. Grafting fat is good forgiving the fuse overall volume but is not particularly good at giving precise small amounts of volume in small areas. For this fillers are exquisite.

Fillers are not dependent on the tissue around them but grafting fat is.
