I have heard this happening and I wonder what the rationale is for this and is it actually part of a sinus lift? I am researching having dental implants compared to a plate and one dentist has said I will require a sinus lift.

If it is very slight it can be improved with implants most likely. I have done it for a patient before, however, you may find it feels awkward or hard to get used to a new bite.
It is best to wait until after delivery for elective dental procedures. The bone graft will be stable and ready when you are able to proceed with treatment.
