Could I be eligible for PRK?

Yesterday, I had an appointment with an optometrist about LASIK and after doing some tests, she told me that she would not do laser surgery/I was not eligible. My understanding is that my cornea is too thin and my prescription too high. My cornea (worst eye - my right eye) is ~509 microns and I have a massive -8.5 correction. She did not mention PRK at all, just “laser surgery” that’s why I am getting confused…
