Juverderm is the first and only FDA - approved injectable gel to instantly add volume to your cheek area to correct

age-related volume loss. It can provide contour and a subtle lift for up to two years

with optimal treatment.

Juvederm approved areas of injection by FDA?

Thank you for sharing your excellent question.  FDA indications for the Juvederm family of products includes Voluma which is used for deep injection into the cheek for volume loss, while the Ultra and XC lines are indicated for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds such as the smile lines or for lip augmentation purposes.  The hyaluronic acid comes premixed with preservative free lidocaine in the XC product lines.  Hope this helps.

JUVEDERM XC FDA-approved areas

Juvederm Ultra XC Injectable Gel and Juvederm Ultra Plus XC Injectable Gel are both commonly referred to as "Juvederm" in the US these days. Juvederm Voluma XC is commonly referred to as "Voluma".  Juvederm is  indicated for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds).  However only the Juvederm Ultra XC product line is indicated for the perioral and lip injections. This is slightly softer product vs the harder particle Juvederm Ultra Plus XC product.  The XC line contains Lidocaine to reduce the discomfort of these injections.Voluma is indicated for deep (subcutaneous and/or supraperiosteal - just above bone) injections for cheek augmentation to correct age-related volume loss in the mid-face.
