Three Earlobe Splits in One Ear, Will It Cost More to Get Them Repaired?

Ear lobe reconstruction cost

Ear Lobe surgery cost varies significantly for a number of good reasons: Prices vary greatly because the surgery itself encompasses a wide range of techniques that can be performed to different extents. My recommendation is to first find the most qualified surgeons where you want the surgery performed that are board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or Facial Plastic Surgeon you trust, then compare prices between them. See the below link on suggestions on how to find the most qualified plastic surgeon for your procedure. General Factors that influence the price of plastic surgery include:

1. Location - Most procedures will be performed in a doctor’s office where costs can be contained. If not will it be performed in a hospital or an independent out- patient facility? Geographical location also has a significant influence. RealSelf has average charges for most areas of the USA.

2. Type of Anesthesia – local anesthesia is typical and less costly. If IV sedation or General Anesthesia is used: Will a board certified anesthesiologist, nurse anesthetist, or an RN be used?

3. Experience and training of your surgeon. The best and longest trained is most often a plastic surgeon board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery

4. Length and Complexity of Surgery - how difficult will your surgery be and how long it will take, etc.

Earlobe multiple split repair

Earlobe reduction usually cost between $500 and $1500 dollars depending upon the complexity of the correction, the surgeons experience, and city in which the surgery is being performed. Most offices can arrange for payment plans. Banks, credit cards, Care Credit, Proper are just a few of the companies that offer plans. Many are no interest for 12-18 months.
Geographic costs and names of experienced doctors can be found on Real Self or the websites for the American Society of plastic surgeons for the American Society of aesthetic plastic surgery

Multiple tears in a single earlobe

As you suspect, treating multiple tears in a single earlobe is more complicated than repairing a singly-torn earlobe. Depending on the exact conformation of torn tissue, this may require 1-3 surgical steps, each spaced a month or so apart at a minimum, to achieve the most normal looking result.

Costs will vary depending on complexity and surgeon's experience; $750-$1500 might be a reasonable range with an experienced facial plastic surgeon.

Cost for Repairing Earlobe With Three Splits

The cost for repairing earlobe with three splits depends on whether the technique performed simply cuts out the middle strip of skin, if it is very thin, and converts the problem to one where you end up with one scar instead of two or three on your earlobe.

The cost will, thereofore, range from $600 to $2,200 depending upon what type of earlobe repair or earlobe reshaping is chosen.

The earlobe repair procedures are done in the office under local anesthesia.

Repairing Ear "splits"

Thank you for the question.

Closing ear piercings is a very commonly performed procedure  done under local anesthesia with  no recovery time.
Generally, this procedure costs $500-1000 depending on the situation. Like any other procedure, the skill and experience level of the surgeon is important and complications may arise-seek consultation with a well-trained board-certified plastic surgeon.

Best wishes.

Multiple splits in the same ear

The fee depends on the location of the splits. It is possible to repair than one split in the same session but if they are adjacent, I generally space the repairs several weeks apart to enable healing of my technique, the lap joint flap and preserve as much ear tissue as possible. The price is prorated and, for three lacerations, would be between $1000 and $1300. Repairing multiple splits has become more common since the fashion of multiple piercings came into vogue.

Multiple ear piercings

The cost of the repair depends on the distance between the number of splits.  If the piercings are too close, then closing all three at the same time may disrupt blood flow to the middle piercing creating a scar.  In this case, the outer 2 should be repaired first, followed by closure of the middle 3 weeks later.  The cost of first repair should run between $400-$600 followed by closure of the middle piercing at a discounted rate.  If the piercings are further apart, closing all 3 at the same time may be possible in which case you may pay $500-$700.

This may be simple of complicated.

The cost and complexity of repairing three slits depends on how much damaged tissue needs to be removed and how much normal tissue you have left to work with.  I would estimate the cost to be between $500 and $1000 per ear, depending on the presentation before surgery.

Three Earlobe Splits in One Ear, Will It Cost More to Get Them Repaired?

3 splits in one ear lobe WOW! I have done a few but they are difficult. Thus the fee increases to $1,000. Surgery time also increases by a factor of 3, like an hour. From MIAMI DR. Darryl J. Blinski

Three earlobe splits in one ear--cost to repair all three?

Three splits require three repairs, even if it is in the same ear. Each repair takes just as long as the first one, and each takes just as much skill and attention to detail. So naturally repair of three splits is more expensive than one, but most plastic surgeons will give you a "package price" for all three that reduces the cost somewhat.

In our office the total cost for one earlobe repair is $550, two $912, and three $1200. Sometimes two close splits can be combined into one repair, but tissue is lost and the earlobe is slightly smaller. Your surgeon can discuss the options available based on your own ear and the location and severity of the splits!
