Taping the nose after a rhinoplasty procedure

In our practice, we use Blenderm tape manufactured by 3M. The tape is usually applied at night across the supratip area of the nose to control swelling in that area. It's important to stretch the tape first and then apply it across theĀ  supra-tip of the nose

Nasal tape

Taping the nose at the end of surgery is important to ensure proper healing and minimal edema. The majority of surgeons use a form of steri strips to tape the nose after rhinoplasty. For patients who may be allergic there are hypoallergenic kinds as well.
