Drooping eyelids may be repaired surgically with a ptosis operation by a qualified ophthalmologist. Some post-cataract eyelid drooping is temporary, however, so wait at least a few months before considering surgery.
Sometimes there is can be an association with certain types of drops used after surgery, the lid speculum used during surgery, and un-diagnosed mild post op inflammation. However, most often, there is no association and its just another common eye condition. Fortunately, both cataract and ptosis are easy to fix.
Droopy eyelids are on as we age, just as cataracts are. Fortunately both can be successfully treated. See your ophthalmologist for details. Eyelid surgery can often be treated in the office and can even be combined with cosmetic procedures for a younger look!
Thatis a great question. In fact, it is very common in my experience forsomeone who undergoes cataract surgery, to be diagnosed as having ptosis, or adroopy eyelid that is also impacting their vision. We all expect that at somepoint we may get cataracts, but fewer people realize that droopy upper eyelidsare a true vision concern and one that we can often address often throughinsurance authorizations. As a surgeon, it is very common for me to havepatients who undergo both surgeries in their quest for the very best quality ofvision and quality of life.

Those findings are not typical at all. I would love to see a picture since there seems to be a run of them amongst your acquaintances.
