How can I get rid of scars left after having IPL at Krave Medical Aesthetics in Denver? Burn took layer of my skin off (photo)

I had IPL done, as I was, driving car to home, I had liquid dripping from few areas on skin, after I woke up in the morning, I had crystals dried out on my forehead and on my chin, I emailed my dermatologist I got call from my doctor to see them immediately, having infection from IPL was prescribed antibiotic cream. I have deep scars developed from it and it is not going away, almost having holes on my face, it is very disturbing I am very frustrated, please recommend me what should I do in this case?

I'm sorry to hear about your side effects from IPL.  We would be happy to see you in the office and try to help improve the appearance of the scars.  Gentle laser treatment using pulsed dye laser or Q-switched alexandrite laser or non-ablative fractional laser could be considered.

Thank you for your question tsavaneli. I am sorry to hear about your situation. IPL is a great treatment for facial rejuvenation. In some cases complications may include infection, burns, discolorations, and scars. Infections can be treated with topical and/or oral antibiotics. Burns are treated with appropriate wound care. Discolorations can be treated with topical products such as hydroquinone. Scars can be treated with fractional lasers.

Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!

Post IPL Burn--clear + brilliant, microneedling/prp, sculptra

A combination approach would be best. Lasers like fraxel and clear + brilliant in combination with microneedling/prp do very well to help this area. I also recommend adding sculptra to improve the collagen formation along with skin care. See an expert for a formal evaluation. Skin care will be necessary . Best, Dr. Emer.
