How Do You Decide Between All These Forms of Laser Liposuction (For Lower Body)?

In my opinion and experience, liposuction is removal of excess normal fat cells without removing the minimum normal amount of fat cells and not damaging the surrounding and supporting tissues including muscle, connective tissue, and skin. This is what is done by traditional liposuction and no type of ultrasonic, laser, or other modality type liposuction has been shown to my satisfaction to improve on the result achieved by low-risk, low-cost traditional liposuction.

The term "tumescent" refers to pre-injection before liposuction usually for local anesthetic reasons and is not a "type" of liposuction.

These laser liposuction devises are based upon the YAG laser technology. Smart Lipo was the first. Seek many opinions but the better advise is to ALWAYS use a boarded PLASTIC SURGEON no matter WHAT!

Liposuction can be performed with  many different types of machines. Actually the safes is traditional liposuction.  I always say it is not the type of wand but the magician waving the wand that creates the magic.

All variations of liposuction still involve the surgeon removing fat and the aesthetic and technical movements and judgment are the most important aspect of liposuction. Whether there is additional laser, ultrasonic, water pressure or other energy sources that are used, the removal of the fat is the key component. The other sources of energy are not proven to be much more effective or helpful than conventional tumescent liposuction in the majority of cases.

There are no advantages to any kind of laser liposuction

Unfortunately, you have to deal with a lot of marketing.  There is no science behind laser liposuction, and very few board certified plastic surgeons use it.  Tumescent liposuction has a very long, great record of safety and good results.

The good eye and meticulous technique of the individual surgeon using delicate cannulas are what make the difference.

It is the surgeon that is important, not the type of liposuction. In doing liposuction for 35 years, we see as many good and bad results with laser or PAL liposuction. Choose an experienced liposuction surgeon, not the marketing promotion of various machines that do the same thing.
