Thank you for your question.

i think everyone is beautiful in their own way. There are some support groups some doctors offer for cases like this.. visiting a therapist is also an option.

best of luck

Mommy Makeover and Payment Options

A Mommy Makeover is a combination of procedures to bring a woman’s body back to the way she looked prior to pregnancy. Most commonly some variation of a #TummyTuck and #BreastSurgery are performed. Additional procedures can include liposuction, umbilical hernia repair.  The most common #breastprocedures include #mastopexy or #breastlift, #breastaugmentation, or #breastreduction.

The costs of a #Mommy Makeover will depend on several factors. Such include the geographic location, the skill and experience of the surgeon, and operating room and anesthesia fees.  However, many payments plans exist for cosmetic procedures. Ask your surgeon's office about finance programs and lenders they may recommend as well as personal loans available through  finanical institutions.

Your procedures should be performed by a #PlasticSurgeon who is board-certified and has a great deal of experience specializing in cosmetic #surgery. You will then greatly improve your chances of getting the result you desire, and, without the need for a revision surgery. It is suggested that you look at before and after photos of the surgeons actual patients, and read patient reviews. Gathering all of this information will help you make a well-informed decision.

Self esteem

Visit with your primary care doctor for a list of support groups or therapists in your area where you can get help with your self esteem concerns.  If and/or when you are considering plastic surgery there are payment options available to assist you .

Contact the American Board of Plastic Surgery, as well as the American Society of Plastic Surgeons for a listing of training programs. The residents perform the procedures.  Of course, they would be monitored by attending board certified plastic surgeons.

Discount plastic surgery?

Many plastic surgery training programs will offer discounted cosmetic surgery if you are willing to let the residents perform the procedures.  Of course, they would be monitored by attending board certified plastic surgeons.  I don't believe there is a plastic surgery training program in the quad cities, but there is one in Iowa City or I would look toward Chicago.

Good Luck!

Programs for Self Esteem

Thank you for your question.

It may be best for you to discuss your thoughts with your primary care doctor, and they may be able to refer you to a local support group/program/specialist.  In rare circumstances (a compelling life story, publicity, etc.), a surgeon may decide to do a surgery and waive the fee, so it may be worth consulting with a plastic surgeon anyway.

Programs to help women who have lost their self-esteem because of their bodies?

Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your difficulties as a result of the physical changes that pregnancy has caused.  I would advocate voicing your frustrations to your ob/gyn and internal medicine doctors. They can best listen to and understand your concerns and refer you to appropriate specialists.
