Picoway vs Q Switch for cafe au lait birthmark removal.

Pico second lasers such as the Picoway, are simply an advancement over the earlier Q Switched lasers. The wavelength of my Picoway laser and my Q switched laser is the same - 1064 nm( other wavelengths are also there, just an example),  but the Picoway is much more powerful as the laser delivers the energy in picoseconds as compared to my Q switched, which delivers the energy in a matter of nanoseconds. This is the main difference - but this translates into higher power to break down the pigments more effectively, and lesser damage to the surrounding tissue. I upgraded to the Picoway from a Q switched, for precisely these reasons. 
If you have the option of choosing between a Picoway and a Q switched laser for your CALM, do consider the Picoway.
