I have two what I thought were freckles recently raise. Is that normal?

I have two what I thought were freckles recently raise. Is that normal for a 41 yo? I've had them most of my life but were flat and last week I noticed one was now raised and this morning I noticed another one has raised. I don't really mind them but I'm just concerned about skin cancer since my mom has had it. Also I've had moles pop up in areas that never see sun. Could the two issues be related?
