Got hit in the face on day 19 after my dental implant surgery. Upper molar. Any chance only my cheek got damaged?

Bone grafted. :/ My cheek is swollen, tingling & a bit numb since the day after I was attacked. 4 days of discomfort now, I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow. Do I tell the doc I was beaten on right away or do I only describe the symptoms to find out what he thinks of my chances based on that? Is there anything that can be done by the doctor himself or is this my time to start believing this will be a long lasting one just in hope my mind helps the tissue that's telling me it's been smashed & doomed?
