I have a very bad taste in my mouth after my non-metal dental bridge installation.

Question

Almost immediately after the (non metal ) dental bridge work, I had a sourish/ bitter taste in mouth. Very unpleasant and is causing me slight nausea and bad taste which will not go away. I had physical and had many tests to r/o other reasons. I am a healthy person. My dental health otherwise is excellent. What can I do ? Is there ways to check chemical toxicity of my saliva? Thank you.

There isn't a chemical toxicity test, but there is a material sensitivity test. It's a blood test that will check which dental materials your body is most compatible with. It may be whatever material or cement was used, you aren't compatible with it. It could be that food is trapping under the bridge causing a foul taste. If the bridge was permanently cemented, it will probably have to be cut off and destroyed to remove it, so if you have it removed to see if that takes care of the bad taste issue you would need to pay for a new one, most likely.
