My gums receded to the suture point. I think it has resided there but not 100 percent certain. Dental hygene is good. In early 40's. Been to numerous periodontists that say my gums are very healthy, but when there is underlying bone loss the gums follow. Some recommend gum graft, others don't as long as I practice good hygene. Been to numerous experienced maxiofacial doctors who don't have experience with that being a problem. I previously had 3 separate implants prior that didn't work well.
