Does fat take on the quality of tissue it's near?

I read in several posts and articles that fat takes the texture or quality of tissue it's nearest to. Does that mean if I get fat transferred inside the muscle it will feel firmer or if I have it placed more superficially it'll take on that "jiggly" quality? Also, does this mean it will be harder near my hips where I am bony? I also ask because I'm wondering if fat can be used to sculpt the jawline to create charter angles. Much thanks in advance XOXO!
