Follow-Up: Itching scalp, receding hairline and rapid hair fall over last year? (photo)

Hair fall for me started from Aug 2016 with minor itching on scalp. Since then with in a year, the itching has increased and hair fall is rapid. I tried saw palmetto therapy with shampoo, tablet, and oil, but it didn't work. I see fall out the hair on my pillow, in the shower, when I roll finger and comb my hair. Hair condition: Dry hair, very less moisture, The fall out hair appears to be thin and with a white dirt/dead skin attached to the root., There is hair root pain when touched.

Your story is not consistent with typical male pattern hair loss.  You need a full evaluation including an examination, bloodwork and likely a scalp biopsy.

You should see a doctor and get a diagnosis. From the pictures, a HAIRCHECK instrument test will tell you if you are losing hair

This needs an in-person evaluation. I suggest seeing a hair loss expert now to evaluate and go over your condition and provide you information about your best treatment options. There are great non-invasive options like prp/progesterone and/or hair transplantation. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

You need to see a good dermatologist to rule out a scarring alopecia as your first step. Anyone with itching and hair loss, especially with pain, needs to have a detailed evaluation.
