It takes about 1.5 hrs if you are under the care of experienced surgeon

Typically the rhinoplasty procedure takes about 1.5 hours. The procedure is performed under sedation anesthesia..In some cases where the nose will be much smaller also the septoplasty has to be done to make sure patient has no breathing issues after the surgery. Nose surgery is an art - please be careful when you choose your surgeon - before and after photos are THE KEY to judge surgeons skills

Nasal dorsal hump

It depends on the approach and technique used. Reducing the hump can be done via an open or endonasal approach and accomplished by rasping or chiseling. Depending on how much is removed, your surgeon may then need to in fracture your nasal bones. It is therefore very difficult to answer your question because it is very variable. I suggest you consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.

Time for dorsal hump removal

Dorsal hump removal is only one maneuver performed during the rhinoplasty procedure. Osteotomies will also be required once the hump is removed. In most cases tip adjustments will also need to be made depending upon the width of the tip cartilages. When a large hump is removed, columellar show tends to get worse if it's not addressed as well. The rhinoplasty procedure takes approximately 1-1/2 hours under a general anesthetic as an performed as an outpatient surgical procedure.

Time for dorsal hump removal

Rhinoplasty is an operation that involves several steps, and removal of the dorsal hump is only one of them. There are a few different ways of doing it, and so the amount of time that it takes to do it depends on which method is used. For example in the open rhinoplasty method the time it takes to expose the dorsal hump is greater, but the time for actual removal is no greater than in the closed method. If the hump is removed as a whole, it might only take a few minutes to do the actual removal. I wouldn't be concerned so much with the amount of time for hump removal as much as the overall result.

How long does it take to remove the dorsal hump if it were big or small?

This may take 10 to 30 minutes or so. Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds of rhinoplasties and rhinoplasty revisions each year. Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can deliver the results.
