Seroma vs Hematoma drainage. Any suggestions? (photos)

When a drain such as a Jackson Pratt is inserted into the breast, how do you know looking at the drainage if it is a hematoma or seroma drainage? How does one look vs the other? Mine currently looks like this. Which one is it? How are seromas formed?

This drain is inserted to remove serous fluid which is produced by your body as part of the natural, inflammatory response. a small amount of blood in that fluid will colour it red/pink. It is best that you have your Plastic Surgeon evaluate your drainage and answer your questions as they know your situation the best.
