Can a person have a underarm laser treatment for hair removal 4 months after her chemo therapy is over?

I had non hodgkins lymphoma. I was diagnosed on december 2013 and had undergone chemotherapy till may 2014. I am no longer under any medication. Can I now undergo laser underarm hair removal treatement ? Is it safe ?

Hi Negar.  If the spots are dark and if you are a medium skin type, then it's likely an after effect called PIH, pos inflammatory hyperpigmentation.  This is sometimes a side effect of laser treatments and the remedy would be staying out of the sun and using hydroquinone to lighten the spots.  ...

Hi Shell.  Rest assured, getting your period is NOT related to the laser hair removal treatments.  There may have been a coincidental correlation over the past couple years, but you do not begin menstruation because of a laser treatment.
