Is miraDry permanent?

Yes, once the sweat and odor glands are microwaved using miraDry they cannot "re-grow". Typically in our office, patients require 1-2 to achieve desired results. Majority see about a 75% reduction in sweat AND odor with the first treatment!

MiraDry & Odor

Miradry is an effective treatment with almost immediate results! Most patients report a 75-80% improvement after one treatment and may opt for a second treatment to complete the process. Because it destroys the sweat and odor glands, it is a permanent solution to your perspiration and odor issues.

Miradry is a permanent solution to underarm sweat and odor. This means that after 1 treatment 80% of people will see a reduction in sweat as well as odor. 20% of people may need a second treatment for further reduction.

MiraDry for Underarm Odor

Miradry effectively and permanently destroys the sweat glands in the underarm with 1-2 (sometimes 3) treatments.  By eliminating the sweat glands, we normally also see a dramatic improvement in underarm odor-- permanently.

MiraDry permanently reduces underarm sweat and odor

Yes, miraDry really works.  It permanently reduces sweat by about 80% in one treatment.  For most people, this reduction in sweat allows them to stop wearing deodorant or antiperspirant.

Yes, miraDry does work to permanently reduce both odor and sweat. As stated below most patients see anywhere from 75-90% reduction with both sweat and odor within 1 - 2 treatments. There is no way to predict how many treatments each person will need. I can tell you it has been life changing for our patients who have done it!

The Sweat Stops Here

Since sweat glands do not grow back or regenerate, there is a dramatic and lasting reduction of sweat. It has a very high patient satisfaction rate but do keep in mind that it may require two treatments to achieve 70-80% efficacy.

MiraDry for Underarm Odor

MiraDry is very effective in permanently eliminating odor, sweat and under arm hair.  Patients notice a reduction in the amount of their underarm sweat almost immediately after the procedure.  Most patients report a dramatic reduction, but not complete elimination, of their underarm sweat with one treatment.  In a recent clinical study, the average sweat reduction was 82% after two treatments.  Patient with hyperhidrosis sometimes need 2-3 treatments.  I recommend an in person consultation to determine how many treatments you may need. Good Luck!

Odor goes away!

There are apocrine sweat glands under your arms that produce odor.  Those glands produce odor unlike eccrine glands that produce sweat.  MiraDry deactivates those glands with thermal energy and the cooling protects the skin.  The effect is permanent.  Sometimes a second treatment is needed.
