Dutasteride & FUE transplanted follicle regrowth. Any suggestions?

Received 1,029 FUE grafts to front corners of hairline via Artas on May 26. Have been on (dutasteride) for over a year. Do DHT blockers prolong or inhibit transplanted follicles' transition from dormant into growth phase?

Differences between “Organic Hair Transplantation” and classical hair transplantation :

A chemical mixture is used in the classical hair transplantation method in order to increase the volume of the scalp. This process helps surgeon to work comfortably however it was observed that these chemicals also harm the scalp tissue. This result in decreased viability of new transplanted hair grafts.

However a mixture containing adipose derived stem cells is injected to the scalp in the “Organic Hair Transplantation” for the same purposes. Injection of this mixture result in rejuvenation of the scalp without causing any harm. Surgeon can also work more comfortably after the injection of the mixture since the volume of the scalp is increased

Dutasteride effect on FUE grafts

maz11111,
Thanks for the question. Dutasteride decreases 90% of DHT, affecting both 5 Alpha 1 and 2. Hence it is much more effective than finesteride. However, the transplanted follicles should be obtained from the permanent donor zone, so they should not be genetically programmed to be affected by DHT. What it will be very efficacious in doing is decreasing the miniaturization of the follicles in the inherited pattern of AGA, in essence shortening the growth phase(Anagen).
