What causes strange divot in nose after rhinoplasty?

I just had splint removed from a revision rhinoplasty involving harvested cartilage from ear. Upon removing splint there was an odd divot on right side of bridge (mid-way down, towards tip). Dr said cartilage was wrapped with fascial cartilage to smooth out any indentations. The indent is square in shape and uneven. I asked if this could be permanent and he said to wait until swelling subsides. Was surgical tape placed to tight? Interior dissolvable stitch be too tight? Collapsed graft?

Only your surgeon will be able to make any guesses on this one.  However, this early after rhinoplasty, results are difficult to predict.
