Have you Considered Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?

Hi atc1994 and thank you for your question!

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a great alternative to a surgical rhinoplasty and uses fillers to add definition to nasal bridge and tip. I prefer to use Restylane for the nose as it is reversible and lasts up to 1 year. Restylane is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler and is a smooth, clear gel that has a consistency of jelly and goes in very evenly.

With a non-surgical rhinoplasty you have instant results and little to no down time. The cost for this procedure will vary by injector but for my office in San Francisco, the price is currently $1850 for the initial injection and $950 for follow-up injections.

Two caveats you should know about:

1. Find someone who specializes in non-surgical rhinoplasty, as this is an advanced injection technique that requires specialized skill and finesse.

2. Patience is required. It may take 2 or 3 injections to get your optimal result.

Best of luck!

African-American rhinoplasty recovery and cost.

African-American rhinoplasty recovery and cost.  The cost will vary depending on how many issues need to be corrected that bother you. More important than the cost is choosing the proper surgeon will do a natural nose and not end up with an artificial looking nose. See a very experienced rhinoplasty surgeon who can show you many examples of African-American noses  and do not rely on imaging but rather results.

Rhinoplasty costs vary widely based on surgeon's experience, location and the extent of the operation itself. See a board certified plastic surgeon with a lot of rhinoplasty experience.

Thank you for your question and picture.  Rhinoplasty costs can vary from $5k - $10k depending on what needs to be done and the anesthesia and room costs.  Full recovery takes 1 year or more for most of the swelling to resolve; expect slowly getting back to normal lifestyle activities within 2 weeks.  If bones are broken, then no contact sports or activities for 6 weeks or more.  Best of luck!

Thank you for your question.

The nose can take up to a year or longer to fully heal after a rhinoplasty. I recommend that you schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty to have a nasal examination performed and a review of your medical history to see if you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty. You can visit the ASPS website for a list of board certified plastic surgeons in your area. In regards to the cost, it varies based on surgeon and location. I can tell you that the RealSelf average cost for a rhinoplasty is between $7,000-$8,000. Best of luck in your endeavors.

How much does rhinoplasty cost and how long does recovery usually take?

The cost varies greatly as do the results.  In my experience, a closed rhinoplasty will allow a patient to return to work in 1 week and look presentable.

The cost of a rhinoplasty directly determined by the amount of time it takes to perform the procedure in a formal operating room, time monitored under general anesthesia by a physician anesthesiologist, and the surgeon's professional fees for performing the surgery in addition to all of the postoperative follow-up appointments.  Recovery  consists of a cast applied across the bridge of the nose for one week and visible swelling for 10 to 14 days. The majority of healing occurs in the first month or two, however full healing takes one year. Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. You may also benefit from reducing the width of your alar base.  Cost varies with geographic region and surgeon expertise.  Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and not just a computer animation system. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

Best wishes and good luck.

Costs and Recovery Vary

Hello. Typically the costs of rhinoplasty are somewhere between 5 and 8 thousand dollars. The recovery will depend on the extent of the operation. In general, 1 week is the standard immediate recovery, meaning you can go back to work after this time. It takes a few months to achieve full recovery.

Prices vary from Region to Region, Practice to Practice, experience of a Surgeon and complexity of the case. Patients usually see the overall new shape once the splint is removed after about 10-14 days post surgery-- but it takes up to a year or more - for a nose to heal 100% on a cellular level. Every patient is different so the healing process will vary from patient to patient. Be sure to seek a Board Certified PS with extensive experience in Rhinoplasty
