I have throbbing pain all over the crown & tooth. If the nerve is gone why does it hurt? I had a root canal on this tooth.

Pain after Root Canal

Unfortunately, your tooth may be hurting for many reasons after your root canal.  A few reasons could be that you still have infection that may be treated with antibiotics, or perhaps the doctor missed an accessory canal.  It may also be that your crown is hitting too hard and your bite needs adjusting.  My recommendation is to return to your dentist asap and have them see what the problem is.
