Yes hair can resolve after fixing your thyroid. I suggest seeing an expert for treatment options.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Thyroid Disease and hair loss

If hair loss is fairly recent and due to hypothyroidism it is usually recoverable. I like to see TSH in 50% range of normal range or lower. Please discuss this with your primary care physician or endocrinologist. If hair loss is more longstanding it may not regrow but will help stabilize loss.

Hair loss from thyroid problems

Most people who I have seen who lose their hair from thyroid disease, did not see regrowth of the hairs. I am not sure why this is the case. For many people who have thinning hair and may not be a candidate for hair transplant, you might consider scalp microigmentation if the hair loss is significant and you are a woman.
