Can CO2 laser treatment create large circular scars?

Last May I had a full face CO2 laser treatment. Results were negligible, however now I am developing 3/4" diameter circular scars on my face, so far one on my chin and on my right cheek. I don't mean the little pixelated dots, these are large circles. Can this be a common result and what can be done to fix this? My PS told me my results were poor because the laser wasn't set strong enough, but if it were any stronger I'm afraid the scarring would be even worse. Thank you for any help.

Co2 Laser and Scars -- Combine with microneedling/PRP

Co2 laser can improve scarring on the face, but has to be used properly.  If done too aggressively, it can create additional scarring or poor healing.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Scars vs skin colour changes

Yes, any laser can leave a scar. Can you post a photo, this way we can see if its a textural change, or skin colour changes. White scars can be treated by either blending in the surrounding skin, or microneedling with latiesse and narrowband phototherapy, or even with RECELL. Dark scars can be treated with QS lasers and bleaching creams, texture changes with gentle lasers. A photo will be helpful. Kind regards, Dr Davin S. Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
