Thank you for the question. Yes, these are standard things. In my practice, we always use a topical numbing cream for at least 30 min before treatment with the 1540 laser. Then, the skin is cleaned with a gentle soap to sterilize. After the treatment, we apply SPF50. Best of luck!

Yes.  The standard pre-treatment for most laser procedures involves removing make-up and lotions, cleansing and de-greasing your skin.  Anesthetic cream is not mandatory, but may make the procedure more comfortable for some patients.
