I had a septorhinoplasty 8 days ago and have been healing nicely however I woke up this morning sleeping on my stomach and with a bloody nose. I irrigated my sinuses and without all the blood I can see that the septum looks severely swollen on the right side, it almost completely blocks all airflow. Could this be swelling or am I likely to need surgical correction again? I see my surgeon to have the second set of splints out on Wednesday, should I call before then?
Could I have broken my septum by bumping it one week after a septorhinoplasty?
