Concerned about my Breast Reduction surgery recovery?

I had breast reduction surgery in July 2013 and I seemed to heal ok . But I am still having so much burning pain and sometimes its unbearable. I still cannot wear a bra . I went to see my Family Dr. who told me this is normal...I even woke up just this morning and had deep red what looked like blood bruising on the incision of the nipple with a faint red rash on the breast. I just don't know what I should do anymore.

Pain after Breast Reduction

I have seen generalized nerve sensitivity after breast reduction surgery associated with a lower pole red discoloration. The breasts are painful and sensitive for months and even up to 1 year after surgery. I would confirm that everything is healing normally with your plastic surgeon. Neurontin is a medication that can sometimes help with nerve pain. You could start with your primary care physician and perhaps see a neurologist or pain management specialist.
