Costs for implant removal, what gets done
The cost for a breast implant removal will depend on if the implants will be replaced, and the condition of the capsule around the implant. If say , you have had a worn silicone implant with a stiff and calcified capsule, the surgery will cost more and the recovery more of a challenge. Intact breast implants can often be removed under local or with light sedation at a fairly low cost.

Cost of an explantation
The cost of an explantation would depend on several factors including location and in NY, prices will be much higher than the national average. If the implants are intact and you don't require the removal of a breast capsule, the costs will be less versus a capsulectomy and removal of ruptured implants.
Having this performed in an office vs outpatient center vs a hospital will also affect the price as would the type of anesthesia used: straight local anesthesia versus sedation or general.
You can inquire of several plastic surgeons in your area to obtain a better idea of the costs that you would be facing.
With capsulectomy, expect the cost to be atleast as much as the original augmentation surgery. Capsulectomy will require a drain as well.
Cost for silicone breast implant removal
If your breast implants are relatively new and there is no significant capsular contracture, it may be possible to remove them in the surgeons office procedure room which would make the cost lower. If you have older implants that could be ruptured or if you need to have the capsules removed also, then the procedure may need to be done in an operating room and the cost will be higher.
Cost to remove a silicone breast implant
The cost can vary to remove silicone breast implants. Usually the capsule or scar tissue surrounding the implant needs to be removed at the same time which can increase the operating room time and therefore the cost. You may also require a breast lift at a later stage which could add to the overall cost. But if you are just inquiring about removing breast implants (only) I think you may see the cost vary from between 3000-5000 depending on the anesthesia used and the type of facility it is performed in.
