Stretch marks from steroid injections are 'possible', albeit a very uncommon side effect when performed at low doses (less than 20 mg of triamcinolone acetonide every 6 weeks). Having performed steroid injections in over 800 patients this past year alone, I can tell you this is a very rare side effect. Stretch marks from steroids taken orally (i.e. oral Prednisone)  on the other hand is much, much more common.
