Botox and pain and cost

Botox can have a small sting when you have the injection but the procedure is generally very quick.  Some patients prefer to have a topical numbing medicine applied one hour before the injections.  The price of Botox varies depending on both the amount of Botox and the skill and experience of the physician injecting.  For the best results please consult a board certified dermatologist with a great deal of experience with Botox.

Is botox expensive? painful?

Botox is not at all painful, many offices provides a numbing cream before treatment. Cost of Botox can range anywhere from $10-$17 dollars a unit and typically last 3-4 months

Cost and pain of Botox

Botox is an incredibly safe and effective treatment for dynamic/movement wrinkles such as horizontal forehead lines, frown lines, Crow's feet, and more. The cost depends on your age and strength of your muscles and can be quickly and properly determines by a highly trained physician injector such as a dermatologist. The pain is more of a mild discomfort which my patients liken to a mosquito bite or a 1/10 level of pain. ~ Dr. Benjamin Barankin, Toronto Dermatology Centre.

Botox cost and pain

Botox causes very very little pain if the area is iced and if Emla is placed in advance.   Cost varies according to need and number of areas.   Physician injectors try to use the least possible to do the job.  See a dermatologist or plastic surgeon physician injector for the very best in cost and productivity.   My Best,  Dr C

Cost and pain of Botox

The cost of Botox depends on the dosage.  Each muscle group you inject will typically need between 10 to 20 units.  The price range for each unit of Botox varies from $8/unit in some of the lower priced medi-spas or offices to as high as $14 to $20/unit in some very expensive practices.  Most physician injectors tend to charge a little more than nurse injectors.   Make sure you go to a board-certified doctor to get the best advice and then focus on price shopping. The pain varies greatly based on your pain tolerance or if you have a needle or doctro phobia.  For the average patietn, the iInjections are a little uncomfortable, but tolerable.  You can apply numbing cream for 15 to 20 minutes or ice prior to injection to help reduce the pain.  Also avoid getting injections around the time of your menstrual cycle because that will increase the pain and the potential for bruising.

Is botox expensive? painful?

Botox injections are not painful, my office provides a numbing cream before treatment to make sure you’re comfortable. Cost of Botox varies from each practice/physician and also the region you live in, you could compare prices but seek a reputable certified physician to promote a better outcome.

Botox - Not very Painful for most

Botox injections use very fine guage needles so not very painful, certainly not afterwared. The average costs depends on the number of units injected and the area. Most of our patients find it both affordable and helpful.
