Question

I recently completed a tattoo sleeve which was a combination of an existing tattoo (above the elbow). Note the existing tattoo was a cover up. I’m wondering/hoping that I can still have this faded enough to put a proper cover up over top given the colors and density of what exists. This is causing me so much mental anguish but I don’t want to pursue something that may not work and be in an even worse position.

Thank you for your question! At our practice we use the Enlighten III laser. This laser has two different pulse durations: nanoseconds and picoseconds as well as multiple wavelengths. It is especially effective in removing colors. Using the wavelength 670, blue, purple, and greens can be removed. The wavelength 532 can target reds, oranges, and yellows. This laser would be a great option for removal of your sleeve tattoo.
